When I catch the train I am reminded of just how many people are in this world. A reality I sometimes forget. I get lost in the swarm of people traveling between platforms or trying to fit into the train carriage until we are packed so tightly there is no room to move.
I remember I am insignificant. Just a speck of dust. I think “this is how God must see me – the same way I would see a swarm of ants”.
But I am WRONG.
God has numbered the hairs on my head. Hairs that I lose daily. He has a purpose for my life. I am not insignificant. He knit me in my mother’s womb and I am wonderfully made. He has a purpose for my life and He watches over me to make sure it comes to pass. He protects me, redeems me and forgives me just so I can be His. His loving kindness draws me to redemption and motivates me to cling tighter to Him.
No matter what I think, feel, say or do He will not leave me and nothing can separate me from His love. I have been called to be a child of the Most High and so have you.
Next time you feel insignificant or without purpose then remember it is not a coincidence that you are coming or have come to the knowledge of the truth that is Jesus Christ. You are not lost in the crowd. He has called you and chosen you. He has purpose for your life so seek Him the way He seeks and longs for you.
